2020 started with lots of optimism. 2019 was a wonderful year with many new photographs a solid growth in sales at the shows. 2020 began with acceptances to our most popular shows only to be canceled one by one as the corona virus spread. I have used "social distancing" as my excuse to get out photographing places long on my "Bucket List". Check out the "New Images" category. Now in late 2021, the art festivals are slowly returning. Check my EVENTS for current updates.
In 2020 I spent two weeks on the East side of the Sierra's including the ghost town of Bodie. In the Spring of 2021, I visited Yosemite National Park to see Dogwood's in bloom.
A return to Bodie in the fall of 2021 also included side trips to Mono Lake and also the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest where 4000 year old trees still live at 10,000 feet.
In early 2022 a trip to photograph Bald Eagles in Northern California became a trip Oregon's Southern Coast (the migration lakes have turned to dust in the extreme drought ... a total loss of habitat.) A second trip to Yosemite in the spring was cut short by an infection in my leg ... I'm OK now. Three good art festivals kept me very busy during the summer.
Below, I am at work in my garage/studio:
