Moulten Barn, Grand Tetons (XL)
Ref.#82 1930xl ~ Moulten Barn, Grand Tetons
The Grand Teton at 13,771’ dominates the landscape from the town of Jackson Hole to Jackson Lake. This view near the town of Moose is a popular landmark of the area, a favorite of many photographers. The log barn was built c.1912 by the Moulten Family. The area became known as Mormon Row as settlers moved into the fertile valley from Idaho beginning in 1890. For the first couple of days upon our arrival the mountain was shrouded by clouds. It was a good time for the family to explore the town of Jackson Hole. On the third day it was worth the wait.
