A fine example of the sandstone mined near Kanab, Utah. This piece was on a large slab I photographed setting in front of a gallery in Kanab back in 1982. The patterns formed within these ancient formations are amazing. Reminiscent of some of the art in Japanese screens. While I fully recognize I am NOT the artist here, as a photographer when nature itself is such an amazing artist, I feel fortunate to record it.
