Having grown up around small boats, and building a few myself, I was disappointed that many of the dories and skiffs in New England Harbors were fiberglass. It is true they are more durable but I yearned for the craftsmanship of the wooden boat. I was not disappointed in Nova Scotia where the love of traditional boat building continues.
