Mesa Arch (XL)
Ref.#94 6938xl ~ Mesa Arch
A pre-dawn start from our stay in Moab was necessary to get to Mesa Arch for a sunrise photograph. As we arrived the winds picked up to over 20mph. We sat there watching a dark cloud move our way threatening the dramatic sunlight. We waited and waited for the clouds to slowly move away. Finally they cleared and we got our shots. A strong sun striking the cliff below was necessary to create the glow under the arch.
In the center of the picture is a rock formation called “the Washerwoman”
