Our first attempt to find this site led to an “island in the sky”, amazing but not the same. At this site was a multiple room Granary under a ceiling of collapsing layers of sandstone. The mineral deposits resembled a starry sky. At the time we visited, the site was still littered with pot shards and dried corn. We thank the previous visitors for leaving everything as they lay and hope future generations will do the same. Even though the site is remote, many visitors come every year. As we arrived the foreground was awash in bright sunlight ….too much contrast. We waited for the sun to move behind the overhang before taking pictures.
