I had always hoped to go to Yellowstone in the winter. Upon arrival we made reservations for the Sno-Cat to take us into the Winter Lodge in the center valley. On the trip in, we stopped at a hot spring near the top of the pass. Temperature when we started was about minus 30 degrees. It was slightly warmer in the sun, but the Bison obviously were enjoying the "steam bath" in the hotsprings. My only available camera was an early digital Nikon 5700 (the 4x5 view camera was packed in the luggage area.)
