Having begun to display at art shows in Washington, I was sadly lacking in photographs of the area. (prior to 1980 I specialized in just Oregon Photographs.) I began an extensive weekend photographing Mt Rainier beginning in Gig Harbor. By the time I found a vantage point the sun had just set leaving this awesome glow over the scene. This photograph quickly became one of my best selling photographs of that year.
